About this program

The Driving Initiative helps women overcome barriers to obtaining a NSW driver licence — a critical step toward independence, employment and family wellbeing.

Participants are guided through the Driver Knowledge Test (DKT), Hazard Perception Test (HPT) and practical on-road preparation in a supportive, women-only setting.

What to expect

  • DKT and HPT study sessions in plain English
  • Translated learning resources where available
  • Guidance on logbook hours and finding a driving instructor
  • Peer support from other women going through the same journey
